His Excellency the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, received from the Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly, the report of his visit to the Republic of South Africa, which came with the gracious approval of the High Commissioner, and lasted for 5 days, in the presence of the Deputy General President For the affairs of imams and muezzins, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad bin Osama Khayyat.
His Excellency blessed Sheikh Al-Muaiqly for his honor to attend the graduation ceremony of 13 memorizers of the Holy Qur’an within the national competition at Al-Noor Mosque in the Central Islamic School, a number of events, a Friday sermon, and honoring a prominent preacher by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to South Africa.
In conclusion, His Excellency the General President asked God to make this visit a blessing and success and to benefit the country and the people, which reflected the efforts of the rulers – may God protect them – in serving this true Islamic religion and supporting the imams of the Two Holy Mosques and supporting the missionary message, and to reward His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Maher Al-Muaiqly with good. Reward for his generous visit to the Republic of South Africa.
